They come in different flavors and nicotine levels and often feature eye-catching packaging in bright colors. Such devices are raising concern because they attract very young people and teenagers, and several European and non-European countries have already announced plans to ban these types of products. Below is an overview of countries where there is a clear intention to ban disposable electronic cigarettes. As a reminder, the Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on batteries and waste batteries, repealing Directive 2006/66/EC and amending Regulation (EU) 2019/1020, which stipulates that electronic products placed on the market must use only rechargeable batteries, effectively spells the end of disposable cigarettes, is under consideration by the European Commission. EUROPE France French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne has announced a national plan to combat smoking by anticipating that disposable electronic cigarettes will be banned in France in 2024. As of today's date, the decree setting the actual start date of the ban has not yet been issued.
