BAN ON DISPOSABLE ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES

Disposable electronic cigarettes are disposable devices that have become very popular throughout Europe, in both nicotine and nicotine-free versions. They come in different flavors and nicotine levels and often feature eye-catching packaging in bright colors. Such devices are raising concern because they attract very young people and teenagers, and several European and non-European countries have already announced plans to ban these types of products. Below is an overview of countries where there is a clear intention to ban disposable electronic cigarettes. As a reminder, the Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on batteries and waste batteries, repealing Directive 2006/66/EC and amending Regulation (EU) 2019/1020, which stipulates that electronic products placed on the market must use only rechargeable batteries, effectively spells the end of disposable cigarettes, is under consideration by the European Commission. EUROPE France French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne has announced a national plan to combat smoking by anticipating that disposable electronic cigarettes will be banned in France in 2024. As of today's date, the decree setting the actual start date of the ban has not yet been issued. Ireland A national consultation on the ban is underway in Ireland , while many health and environmental groups are urging the government to act. Belgium Online sales of disposable electronic cigarettes in Belgium are already banned. Belgian Public Health Minister Frank Vandenbroucke plans to ban the sale of disposable electronic cigarettes starting in 2025. Germany Germany plans to crack down on disposable e-cigarettes, banning their sale probably as early as 2024. In addition, the German government would like to lobby the EU to ban disposable e-cigarettes throughout Europe. [...]

On October 8, 2019 the Technical Commission of CERTIQUALITY deliberates the certification of TRUSTICERT at the operative unit located in Piazza della Scienza, 2 Milan, regarding the FUNCTIONAL TESTING FOR ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES.
