From 20th to 22nd of September, Dortmund will host the 41st edition of InterTabac, one of the most important and historical fairs of tobacco and related products. Also this year, the world of vaping is a protagonist!

The world of vaping has been present at InterTabac since 2011; its presence has increased over the years, reaching a peak of around 150 specialized exhibitors in 2015, to then settle around 100 exhibitors in recent years.
After the great success of 2018, also in the forthcoming 2019 edition the Westfalenhalle Event Arena together with Hall 1 and 2 of the Dortmund Exhibition Centre will be reserved for ENDS exhibitors: a sizable area with its own access (the main entrance of the Westfalenhalle event arena) for the visitors interested mainly in ENDS.
The fair is reserved to professional and has a marked international vocation: 2018 edition counted 625 exhibitors coming from 54 countries and was visited by 12500 trade visitors, 45% of them coming from outside Germany.
2018 visitors were mainly retailers, followed by wholesales and industrials. As an InterTabac press release reported: “The largest professional groups were again entrepreneurs, managing directors and departmental managers. Nine out of ten are involved in purchase decisions at their companies in an advisory, co-deciding or decision-making capacity.”
This year, the vaping world will be at InterTabac not only among the stands: for the first time the fair will host different lectures related to tobacco and ENDS; between the others, Michal Dobrajc will participate at the Intertabac event with the title ‘Is the end of the cigarette near? – Alternatives for the trade – Trends and innovations in the tobacco market and their impact on the European market’.
Dobrajc is Chairman of E Cigarette industry trade association VdeH, Germany’s largest and Europe’s oldest electronic cigarette industry trade association, and he is also the owner of a German retail and wholesale company since 2010; it’s therefore clear how profoundly he knows vaping both from business and regulatory point of view. His will certainly be a lecture to be followed with great interest.
