UK CONSIDERS INTRODUCING VAPE TAX

PORTUGAL: NEW TOBACCO LAW APPROVED

Portugal has issued the parliamentary decree that transposes the EU directive on the revocation of certain exemptions for heated tobacco products. The new law provides for the equalisation of electronic cigarettes to traditional tobacco. It would prohibit the sell and consume of tobacco in zones near the school, the gas station, and in partially covered places.

OMAN: BAN TRADE OF E-CIG AND SHISHA

On 7 of January the Oman Sultan prohibited e-cigarette trade in the country. Followed by the new law, every person that violates the prohibition will be subject to an administrative fine of up to OMR 1,000 (2.590 USD) with the penalty doubled in case of repeated violations.
